There is a specific kind of electricity in seeing something that defies the architecture of expectation. Rachel is only five-foot-eight tall, yet she can palm a basketball!  In the video, she’s holding a basketball. A men’s regulation size. And she isn’t just holding it; she’s palming it.

It sounds like a parlor trick until you actually see it happen. It’s hypnotic.

I’ve been thinking a lot about contrast lately. The friction between what we see and what is hidden. There’s a professor I read once who talked about the "fascination of the unexpected," how we are wired to stare when the delicate meets the powerful. That’s Rachel. She has this polished, almost ethereal grace, but then she lifts that ball with one hand, fingers splayed wide, gripping the leather like it’s nothing more than an apple.

The Power of Hands: Rediscovering Raven's Lair and the Art of Self-Recognition

One thing that I have noticed is that there isn't enough love given to hands.
